Esperos B.C.
Esperos B.C. is the basketball section of Esperos Kallitheas (POK Esperos/Panathlitikos Omilos Kallitheas Esperos). Esperos Basketball Club was founded in 1945, thanks to efforts of Takis Kontouzoglou. The season 1972-73 played for first time in the A Ethniki (first-tier division). It played in A Ethniki still five seasons (six totally with the season 1972-73), the seasons 1978-79, 1980–81, 1982–83, 1989–90 and 1999-2000.〔 Esperos has won one A2 Ethniki championship (2nd-tier) the season 1998-99 and has won four B Ethniki Championships (1978, 1980, 1982, 1987). Esperos had also a women basketball team. The women's team was one of the basic founders of the successful club Esperides Kallitheas, that was founded in 1995.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://esperos.com/?page_id=706 )〕 Esperides Kallitheas won 2 women's championships and 4 women's cup. In 2012 the women club merged with Ikaros Kallitheas and finished its presence.
